I'm (not just) a writer.
I'm a problem solver. Former poet. Current professor. Shorter than you'd imagine. Die-hard supporter of the serial comma. Decidedly non-passive aggressive. I am large / I contain multitudes.
Somewhere along the way, the interesting problems stopped being about the sentences themselves and started being about what those sentences were trying to do.
Today, that means building brand foundations, setting positioning strategies, and running creative direction. I've done it inside agencies and independently since 2013—partnering with global giants, top-tier shops, and scrappy startups you've never heard of. But we're working on that.
The through-line is always the same: making a connection between two known things nobody had bothered to put next to each other. That's the job. Writing is just how I prove I've done it.

Flexible by design
I do what I say I'll do
No hand-holding required. I treat deadlines like hard promises and handle the heavy lifting without making it your problem.
You get what you need
I play well with partners and internal teams, but I'm just as comfortable taking the wheel and running with it alone.
How the work gets done
Mostly it's just me, which is the point. You get the person who did the thinking, not a team that inherited it. When a project needs more hands or other skills, I can assemble them and stay accountable for the whole.
I work directly with brands and as an extra brain inside agencies. I've been on both sides long enough to be useful in either.
I'm best with clients who are genuinely invested in solving the real challenge—any size, any industry. I've been in this business a long time, but I'm still curious to learn something new and turn that into work we're all proud to stand behind.
